One more time. I am going to post four more stories about people who are losing their homes or spending extra money on their mortgages because the servicers and lenders are not following existing TILA And RESPA laws. The numbers and problems are staggering. Still, what I hear over and over again is that the problem was that we gave loans to people that didn't deserve them. My argument continues to be that this occurred, but that these companies also engaged and continue to engage in illegal behaviors that have forced people in foreclosure. The bushco administration ushered in high deductible health savings accounts that meant that Americans faced medical bills, thousands more than in the past. WE have to stop the rhetoric that blames the American people and the borrowers of these loans. Many of these foreclosures were forced.
